West Town Bakery

Who is ready for Christmas? My household is slowly but surely amping up for the festive Christmas holiday! This is Danny’s all time favorite holiday so since he did a wonderful job (every year) of enjoying Halloween with me I am embracing Christmas for him! No I am not the Grinch! I just always feel the stress of this holiday which then makes it hard for me to enjoy. But I do love being with family and all the joy that does come this time of year. 

To start some of the holiday fun and activities Danny and I decided to walk to the Wrigleyville Christmas market and get some coffee! We of course were dragging our little pup to see if we could actually get into the market with him, sadly we could not. This Christmas market is a lot smaller than the one in the loop and with it being “within” the new Wrigley grounds they have security checks just to get in. Bummer i know, this will be him only trip to the market with us and now Danny and I will need to come back in order to actually walk the market a little. 

But this trip was not a complete loss, we really came out all this way so that we could realistically get coffee, that has always been my driving force. In the new hotel across the street from the new Wrigley Field complex there is a West Town Bakery that serves Dark Matter Coffee! 

West Town Bakery makes one of my all time favorite scones! They have this wonderful trail mix scone that is gluten free and essentially tastes like an oatmeal cookie! Oh it is to die for and dipping that in coffee is just the best way to start the day. So I was looking forward to getting my hands on a strong coffee and that mouthwatering scone. Danny was also looking forward to getting his hands on their donuts, they always have fun festive sprinkle donuts that just speak to Danny’s inner child soul!
