Alchemy Coffee

Fresh off the plane in Salt Lake City….. Not how the song goes I know, but this is where I’m at! We have landed in Salt Lake City and are ready to get the wedding festivities underway! My cousin is getting married on Saturday and the whole family is expected to be arriving in the next couple days to get this party train started.

BUT FIRST COFFEE!

Wow did we have one heck of a journey just to get here to Alchemy Coffee. I will keep it brief, but we first woke up at 4:30am, quickly grabbed our belongings for the trip, loaded the car and took off for the Addison CTA blue line stop. Danny earlier in the week discovered a cheat that would allow us to park on the street for free at the Addison stop and take the blue line then straight into OHare Airport for our flight! Naturally arriving there this morning we sadly discovered the street was having street cleaning later that morning and no one was allowed to park there. I was panicking cause now we were going to be cutting it close on time. Thank goodness we found another street to park on and was able to make it to the airport no problem. Now there was a gate change for our flight and so we were sitting at the wrong gate all the way up unlit last call for our flight, which luckily Danny was coming back from his third bathroom break and hear the gate call our names. I cannot believe the timing with that.

Anyways, safely landed in Salt Lake and yes the first place we went was to a coffee shop. Alchemy Coffee was on our way to Park City, had great coffee reviews and food! Tat was all we needed at this point in the day.

The space is a cute indoor outdoor cafe that offers plenty of chairs and tables for hanging out and eating at. They are nestled next to a super cute looking antique store that was unfortunately closed for the day. There are also so many plants throughout the inside it almost feels like you are still outside, the art on the wall as well is all so vibrant and colorful nature scenes.

The menu is not super extensive but the offer all the coffee basics with a few additional flares and the menu is breakfast all day! Yum!

Danny went with a breakfast sandwich and cappuccino while I tried one of the specialty lattes, cinnamon and cayenne with peanut butter banana toast!  Both of us could not wait for our drinks or food! The baristas were extremely friendly and helpful in answering all our questions as well as just having casual small chat with. The barista that made my toast was a total cutie and when she brought it over mentioned how she went overboard a little on the honey so felt I deserved a paper towel instead of just the napkins they offered. (it was needed).

Both our coffee and food items were perfect picks for both of us and hit the spot for what we needed! If only we had more time to make it back there a second time! The rservice and coffee were spot on and a perfect way to start the trip!
