Drink Happy Thoughts all the time my friends! While drinking coffee how could you not have happy thoughts right? Well this adorable coffee shop is up in Uptown and also opened right at the shut down during the pandemic here in Chicago.
April, what a wild month to try and get started as a business, but hey everyone needs coffee right?
I actually learned about this coffee shop through Instagram! Another local Chicago coffee follower posted the absolute cutest picture of a honey latte served in an old honey bear container! HOW CUTE IS THIS!!!?
My recent obsession with honey in my coffee on top of seeing this adorable picture , knowing I get to keep the container too. Sold. I set the coffee date immediately for this coming up weekend so that I could give this a try!
Drink Happy Thoughts is also a very small coffee shop that is structured for grab and go, there is a table outside but given how busy the street it is on I can’t imagine too many people would sit there for long.
The menu here is extremely unique, truly one of its own, my honey thyme latte was unique and like i mentioned served in a honey bear, they had a few other sweet sounding flavors that regrettably I can no longer remember, but we did order the mint mojito cold brew! Yum adn how refreshing that sounds on a hot summer day in August.
This shop also this morning was just running by two people taking and making orders. There is also an online ordering system as well. I saw multiple receipts get printing and piled up. They did a wonderful job all the same. You can see all the care each barista took in making sure the drinks were mixed and made correctly! Amazing service and beyond friendly.
Once we got our coffees it was starting to feel a little crowded in the cafe so we quickly moved along and stepped outside so we could both sample our drinks. One super weird thing that has taken time for me to get used to during the pandemic is since we need to wear masks while inside I cannot sneak sips of my coffee till safely outside! It actually kills me and I have almost forgotten multiple times and have tried to take sips through my mask!
Now wouldn’t that just be hilarious to see? Anyone else had that happen? Forgot the mask and went to sip a drink or even take a bite of food?
