Killbrew Coffee

Killbrew Coffee was our hungover Nashville choice and man was it quite the experience. Upon looking up the exact location and direction on how to get to Killbrew we discovered it was in the lobby of a hotel. NOT A BIG DEAL! But there was a time that I declined meeting Danny for happy hour because the bar was in the lobby of a new hotel. Now granted I will forever kick myself for saying that cause I would go to this bar for a drink, but at the time it was so new and I just wasn’t feeling like the atmosphere of a hotel lobby is where I wanted to have a cocktail.

Here we are today though going to a coffee shop in the lobby of a hotel in Nashville.

As one would expect, the lobby and hotel were packed with people wanting to get a quick and easy coffee fix. The cafe itself is quite small and narrow, as one would expect in a hotel lobby. They are typically structured in a way where they want to shuffle the guest through, not really catering to the people that would want to sit and hangout for a long period of time. Luck for use we only wanted this to be a quick pit stop on our way to South 12 and Radnors Lake. Also probably not our best hung over activity to plan but the weather was just gorgeous and we could NOT pass it up.

We squeezed into the coffee line that thankfully appeared to be moving pretty fast, as it should since there were four people behind the bar working the food and coffee. The barista that took our orders was extremely welcoming and jolly, striking up quick brief conversation with a huge smile. We mentioned how we were off to Radon Lake and instantly got excited for use claiming we would have a great time. I actually cannot recall what Danny ordered, looking back i want to say a cappuccino?  I order a tumeric latte. I shouldn’t have, my stomach was not needing any of the tumeric, granted I thought it would be calming and help it settle more. Not this morning though.

Overall I still enjoyed my drink and certainly needed the caffeine boost to keep me moving around the lake, but I do wish we had not been feeling so ill this morning so that we could have enjoyed it a little more.

Oh and for there being four people working behind the bar they did somehow miss Danny’s food order and we had to request they get that together for us. So that was rather annoying as well only cause that led to us having to hang in the cramped coffee shop even longer while we waited for them to heat that up.
