A rainy day here in Park City and sadly also our last morning here on this side of the mountain, my cousins wedding is at a resort in the middle of the mountain so we are on our way to our lodging there. More centrally located for the wedding and all the transportation needs for that.
One for the first coffee shops that will come up when you search Park City coffee is Riverhorse Provisions. So naturally had to give this place a review to see what it was all about. Its park market, part breakfast cafe and part coffee shop! Agaian, another great place appealing to as many people as they can.
I was a little nervous about picking this place since I was unsure what the morning food situation would be like and I knew Danny was in need of a real meal. It was about to be a long day with my family so food is important to keep everyone from getting hangry. One thing about my family, they can snack literally ALL day long and be fine with it for the most part. While Danny would prefer to eat a meal that just munch on chips all day. I have transitioned a little more to be like Danny, where instead of just eating nonsense all day I would rather have something that fills me up.
Walking into Riverhorse I was already able to take a slight sigh of relief. They had full breakfast and lunch menus as well as pre made items to grab as well. Now it was time to evaluate the coffee situation. I was feeling pretty tired and feeling the cool rainy weather this morning so I just went with a redeye and Danny a large cappuccino. I order peanut butter toast and Danny breakfast poutine, clearly he even knew it was about to be a long day. He was not happy with my smaller meal order, I think because he knew I would get hungry quickly and probably get a little testy. But this was all I wanted at the time. I get into weird moods of just needing peanut butter and that was the morning I was having. Peanut butter and coffee obsessed people. Two items to get to my heart.
How the market is set up is the market/provisions portion is upstairs and then walking down there is a mini cafe where if you are to order food you would take and site down here to enjoy. So after placing our order upstairs we went down to see what the space was like and also snag a table. They will even bring your food down here once it’s ready! So nice so we were able to post up right by the window and just enjoy some quiet time, the cafe was surprisingly empty. Thinking the morning storm and rain had something to do with this.
Both of us were extremely happy with the food options we picked this morning, but felt our coffee was just average. Was really nothing special, I think this place comes up when you search for coffee since they offer it but the real reason to come here is totally for the food and provisions! Danny could not stop raving about how amazing the breakfast poutine was and it was a healthy serving of it too. Not skimpy on the portions here.
