What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas right? WRONG! I can’t go to Vegas and not come back let you all know about the amazing coffee places I got to try!
Las Vegas, Sin City the city of late nights, bright lights, blurry memories and hopefully not completely empty pockets when all is said and done. We planned a pretty jammed packed vacation of hitting up Las Vegas for two days and then driving up to southern Utah to camp and hike Zion National Park!
We have called this trip the riches to rags vacation, just cause we were going from staying at the Aria Hotel to camping in the dirt warmed only by a fire. I WAS PUMPED!
This was my first time to Vegas so I was very unsure of what to expect and I can only sum it up with “sensory overload”. There is so much there to do and see and everywhere you go is crowded with something new to do, taste and experience. I now understand why people love coming here, but for me and it being my first trip I spent a lot of the time exploring the strip and checking out all the casinos and what they had decorated and all the different themes. We literally took a whole day walking the strip. It was AWESOME!
I could go on forever talking about everything we saw and all the different decorations. Everything was a beautiful crazy in it’s own way.
To start our day of exploring though of course we needed some good coffee to give us the needed energy. I of course did my research on coffee shops too and what i discovered is there is a Starbucks in just about every single casino lobby, as to no surprise, nothing like keeping people up all night gambling than with espresso shots and coffee. But i did not come all this way just to drink Starbucks coffee, I have that at the end of my street. I found cute coffee shop called Sambalatte!
When I saw they focused on bringing in fresh coffee beans and working in partnership with the coffee bean farms to make sure everything was serves fresh, I was sold! Sounded just like my kind of place. Another specialty they offer is a rainbow latte, I saw all the review and pictures on Yelp.
RAINBOW LATTE people, I follow my fair share of coffee and baristas on Instagram to know that there are so many different art forms people can shape with steamed milk. It’s amazing and I am so obsessed, I need to take some classes and learn how to do it myself! But Sambalatte will add color, hence the name rainbow, to their latte, no added flavor just color to then make the rainbow effect in the steamed milk. It’s absolutely beautiful, I was also so thankful to discover it was not flavored or sweetened by the dye.
Before even landing in vegas I had this coffee shop and order planned out, nothing like being prepared right?
Like basically everywhere in Vegas, expect a line people. There is no such thing as “zipping in and out” that phrase doesn’t even exist while in Vegas. I thought maybe we would be alright since it was still early in the morning, nope so not the case, check out this line at 8am!
No joke.
But we waited and oh it was worth it! Delicious coffee and latte. When ordering, caffeine junkies always like to check how many shots of espresso go into a drink, how strong the drink will be and also making sure we control the milk quantity and type. Picky peeps we are.
While checking the sizes and espresso shot quantity the barista let us know that two shots are using in their drinks and their espresso is two times the size and strength of Starbucks quality. Naturally, should I be surprised there is a coffee shop in Vegas that is trying to top Starbucks espresso in strength? Nope, people pulling all nighters probably need something stronger to make it through. We stuck with the shop standard of two instead of adding a third. Neither of us wanted to be running to a bathroom while trying to ride the strip escalators.
The wait was worth it, we got to taking in all the shops decor and even watch some beans being roasted!
It was very fun, once we got our drinks we headed out to the patio that had lawn furniture and patio couches. We posted up, taking in the views and espresso. This is probably the best spot to be on the strip, you’re ever so slightly off the main walk but you have a perfect view to sit and just watch all the people and cars that go up and down the strip. Both our drinks were delicious but I would like to take a moment to appreciate how beautiful this latte is!
Fun fact, this is not actually listed on their menu so I was worried that maybe they no longer offered it, but you can ask the baristas for it still. The couple behind us in line when they saw me walk away with my coffee prize loved it and even asked where that was on the menu.

Another super cool feature of this coffee shop is they offer a coffee subscription membership! What a fun concept, I have seen plenty of beer clubs, wine, cheese basically there is a club out there for anything you could imagine, but I had never seen one for coffee, especially since their main focus is around sourcing fresh beans from around the world.
Basically how is works is you pick the quantity of bags you want delivered each month, the “master roaster” as they call it will then select the beans, each month freshly delivered to your door from all different parts of the world. No month is the same! I have been contemplating signing up, such an easy fresh way to travel the world through coffee!
